What To Expect

We don't take your time for granted. We believe when we get together it should be celebrated and not tolerated.

When you come to CPC you will quickly find a warm, friendly group of people committed to making church exciting, life-changing, and enjoyable. Our weekend services are designed with the whole family in mind and include contemporary worship and a time of biblical teaching. The service is approximately 65 minutes in length. Ushers and greeters are located throughout the church for your convenience.

We currently have three services on Sunday at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m.

What About My Children?

Children’s programs are offered during every service for infants through 5th grade. Greeters and the Kid’s team will assist you with getting your children checked in and to their designated class. Your children will enjoy an interactive service that is specifically designed for them and will be the best hour of their week!

What About Students?

Crossing Place Students exist to lead the junior high and high school students in our region into a dynamic relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a place where teenagers can connect and grow in relationship with each other and with God. Junior High Students meet every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., while High School Students meet every Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

What is the Music Like?

We have a time of contemporary worship in each of our services. This is a time when we experience the presence of God through music and song, returning thanks to Him for all He has done for us.

What are the Messages Like?

We clearly communicate the Word of God in a powerful and practical way that you can apply to your life. Messages never lack purpose, clarity, or passion. Our heart is to powerfully communicate the Word of God in a way that is both practical and relevant to our daily lives.

What is appropriate to wear to church?

Whatever you would wear any other day of the week! It is South Louisiana after all.

Baptism embodies a beautiful showing of commitment. As a church we celebrate with you as you publicly show your dedication and love to Jesus. Baptism is a lot like marriage. The symbolization of marriage is a wedding ring -- the symbolization of our relationship with Jesus is baptism.

Baptism is an important step of obedience that shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you're a follower of Jesus Christ, you're beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

At CPC, we believe baptism is warranted when an individual is old enough to be conscious of their decision. For infants, or newly born children, we celebrate with baby dedications. For more info on baby dedications, send us an email!

We provide a short class prior about baptism, along with a t-shirt, towel, shorts and a bag. We've got you covered!

There are three ways to go about being water baptized:

  1. Attend the Growth Track.

  2. Tell your Small Group leader.

  3. Fill out the contact form!
